Letting AI Draft the Segment
Segment Creation drafts an audience from a prompt. Useful as a starting point, not as an approval.

Next includes a generative feature that drafts segments from a plain description. You type what you want the audience to be, it assembles criteria against your data model, and you review the result.
What it's genuinely good at
Finding the fields. On a freshly installed data model with hundreds of attributes, most of the work of a first segment is remembering where a value lives. A draft that picks the right objects saves that hunting even when the logic needs rewriting.
What to check every time
- Consent. A drafted audience is not required to be a sendable one.
- Date windows — "recent" is a guess until you set it.
- Whether an exclusion you always apply is silently missing.
It must be enabled in Setup first; like most of the AI in Next, it is off until an admin turns it on.
My rule is unexciting and has served me well: treat a drafted segment the way you'd treat a query written by a capable new joiner. Read it properly, then run it.
